The letting of Beach House (“the Property”) for any period to include Short breaks as herein after defined (“the Tenancy”) shall be between the Owner of the Property (“the Owner”) and the person(s) named on the booking form (“the Tenant(s)”) such expression to include any other person occupying the Property with the Tenant(s).
All complaints must be notified to the Owner or her nominated representative immediately to ensure sufficient time is given to investigate and/or take the necessary remedial action. Compensation will not be offered where the Tenant has denied the Owner or her nominated representative the opportunity to rectify matters during their holiday.
All rentals are as quoted. The Owner reserves the right to adjust prices quoted in the property details due to errors or omissions.
.i) The Tenant shall not do or suffer to be done in or upon the Property any act or thing of an illegal nature
The Tenant will make good any costs associated with failure to comply with the above.
The Tenant shall ensure that the house is kept secure during their stay and ensure that all gates, windows are doors are locked on departure.
The Tenant will bear the costs not covered by any other means should they failure to keep the premises secure.
The Property is equipped and offered for the number of people stated in the property details and parties in excess of these numbers can be accepted through prior arrangement with the owner. The person who completes the booking form certifies that he/she is over 18 years of age, a member of the occupying party and authorised to agree to the booking conditions on behalf of all-party members. He/she agrees to take responsibility for all members of the party including any payment default or change in personal circumstances.
The Property is available for occupation no earlier than 4.00pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10.00am at the latest on the day of departure. It may be possible for to arrive earlier or stay later at a pro rata fee. Please email [email protected] or call 0208 876 5476 if required.
Guests should check the property on arrival. It will be assumed that unless guests inform us on arrival or shortly after by email to [email protected] that the house, its fixtures and fittings and equipment (including but not limited to the hot tub and swimming pool) and in good order.
The tenant shall follow and ensure that the rules for pets are followed.
Linen and towels are supplied. Please bring your own beach towels.
Every effort is made to ensure all items of equipment described and supplied by Owner are in good working order; however, no guarantee is given, or liability accepted if breakdowns occur before or during a holiday. Whilst the Owners or their nominated representative will endeavour to organise repairs or replacements as quickly as possible, delays inevitably do occur, particularly during the main season.
iii) The Tenant shall not remove or allow removal of any property from the premises without the prior consent of the owner.
The Tenant will pay for the repair for damages to the Property, fittings, equipment, furniture or household effects or possessions of other occupiers of any surrounding premises or visitors to the area or pay for the replacement where any effects have been lost or damaged beyond economic repair because of their actions.
Iii) Damaged or missing glasses, cutlery, mugs, cups, plates etc will be charged at the following rates: £2
Iv) Where there is soiling or damage to linen or towels which is not economic or beyond cleaning then the following charges will apply: Hand towels £5 Larger towels £10
All guests must abide by the swimming pool and hot tub rules attached to these terms and conditions in order to avoid damage or contamination of the water. Charges for our staff and any outside company needed to restore the pool to a fit condition as a result of failure to follow the rules will result in charges of up to £175 for the hot tub and £750 for the pool.
Health and safety is an important consideration and The Beach House staff check the condition of the pool before and after the arrival of all guests. In order to maintain healthy water it is essential that the filters are in good working order and it should be noted that even a small amount of food or only one person wearing oils, or one person with long hair can inhibit the effectiveness of the filters. Ineffective filters may mean that the whole tub or pool needs draining and if this is the case then the whole costs of doing so will be applied.
iii) A light clean is included within the charges for the stay. Charges for any cleaning that is required beyond light cleaning must be arranged in advance so that extra staff can be arranged.
Where indicated on the Property booking form a Good Housekeeping payment is payable with, and in addition to, the balance (or full) payment of the holiday. The deposit is held in lieu of the obligations set out in Points 4, 5, 8, 11 and 12 above and deductions will be made where applicable. The Good Housekeeping payment is normally refunded in full within 14 days of departure, subject to a satisfactory inspection of the Property by the Owner or her nominated representative.
The Owner accepts no responsibility for work taking place outside the boundary of the holiday Property, nor for noise or nuisance resulting from third party activity over which he has no control or prior knowledge.
If the Property is withdrawn by the Owner, the Tenancy shall be cancelled, and the rent paid shall be refunded and the Tenant shall not be entitled to any further damages.
The Owner reserves the right to terminate the Tenancy immediately if any of the above conditions are not observed.
The personal belongings of the Tenant are the complete responsibility of the Tenant and no liability can be accepted for any loss or damage. Any articles left by the Tenant can be forwarded on receipt of a minimum handling fee of £10.00.
These conditions supersede all those issued before.

Additional Holiday Rental Terms and Conditions for Pet and Service Animals at Beach House, Selsey, West Sussex.
As required by law we accept any number of service animals. We also accept domestic pets by agreement.
Although there is a fee for domestic pets, subject to no additional or minimal extra cleaning of areas in which the animal or animals have been then we refund up to 90% of this amount.
Ii) Animals are not allowed on furniture, beds etc
iii) Animals must be on a leash when leaving the property and must not allowed into the garden and the immediate area surrounding the house unless on a leash.
2.VACCINATIONS
All animals must have up to date vaccinations and the appropriate flea and tick treatments.
All animals should be groomed before arrival to minimise hair loss. In consideration of other guests all animal hairs must be removed from the premises before departure.
If your pet suffers from ptyalism (drooling) then it should be confined to the utility area.
Ii) Animal waste must not be disposed of at the premises (including the bins). There are bins for dog waste in and around the town of Selsey.
Any waste from your animal found at the property (including gardens and bins) will incur an extra deep cleaning fee of £150. This is in consideration of future guests. These amounts to be paid directly to the housekeeper before any refund is given
iii) Bedding and towels used for animals are to be supplied by the owner. No bedding or towels from Selsey Beach House are to be used. Any found to be used will incur a charge as if damaged beyond economic repair.
Animals must be kept away from the pool, hot tub and covers at all times.
