Selsey is situated on a peninsula jutting out into the English Channel about eight miles south of Chichester. A small town that retains its history, the unique Selsey community spirit and the Selsey fishing fleet.
Selsey has much to offer visitors of all ages. As well as local beaches there are walks along the sea wall or a visit to the Selsey Lifeboat Station and Museum. There is a diving and snorkelling centre in the village, also local golf and tennis clubs. There are many designated cycle routes. There is a wide range of restaurants, cafes, bars and public houses and shopping parades in Selsey High Street and East Beach, and during the summer months a variety of fetes, carnivals and shows.
Selsey has its own league cricket team and county football team. Visitors travel from all over the country to see the annual Selsey Fireworks display. Traditional lobster and crab fishermen offer fresh seafood to both tourists and locals.
